Update: Baby was born tonight, at 41 weeks, 2 days, at 8:48 pm. She is 8 pounds 10 ounces and perfectly healthy, despite the fears from the high fluid levels. Yay! After 29 hours on pitocin, I'm exhausted, but still waiting for baby to come back from her bath. She was able to nurse about 20 minutes after birth (docs had to suction her first due to meconium in the fluid), and she nurses like a pro already!
Congratulations on your baby girl! I was going to give my story because I too gave birth at 41 weeks 9 (and that was only because i had a scheduled c section. My little 8.11 oz boy had no intentions on coming out either lol.) However no point in telling you about it because you do not have to worry that your little girl will never come out! Congrarts again mommy
For future reference: When a friend was about to pop with no indication the baby would come any time soon, her doctor recommended beer and a pizza. She went home and ate a pizza and drank beer and voila, her son was born that night.
We were late by 9 days with my 15 year old. Pizza (no beer) and she was born early the next morning. Induction was to be in two more days.
