Kubiac also said they needed Shaub in there to run the no-huddle, something he didn't feel the rookie could handle... and the no-huddle was working against the Raiders at the time. But they got away from it at the end of that last drive for some unknown reason.
Because winning at this point is going to get us into the Playoffs. Let the damn kid play the game. Pubes, you're not going to be the coach next year anyways so just call the plays. You're one of the main reasons why we're in this position to begin with. You're to nice of a guy to be a HC. You kept Joe M. as ST coach for to long. He should've been fired years ago. You refused to play anyone else when Matt's ship was sinking. You're supposed to be an Offensive genius and yet your playcalling is to vanilla. You call some of the most mind boggling plays and refuse to try to make something happen before countless 1st halfs. You seem to think that you get a bonus at the end of the year based on how many timeouts you saved.
It's always your fault, right? So lets agree it is and it's time to move on. I hope you can get a job in the College ranks because there's no NFL team that will hire you as a HC because you simply aren't HC material.
If Bob McNair doesn't flip the table over this off season I am done with this franchise for good.
Thought it was interesting in Kubiak's comments later on the Tate running play at the 1 - he said they ran their favorite play and it didn't work.
Now I thought that was interesting. Other teams also know it's his favorite play, and the Raiders stopped it.
To me, this is how Kubiak sees how things should be run - he expects to run his plays, and he expects them them to work through good execution. Problem is if the talent and effort is not there - then his theory fails. When things were going well, teams knew they were going to run the ball, and they couldn't stop it because the execution was good. That's not the case now.
Not a bad effort from Keenum - just a coach decision.
My opinion - Kubiak's job on the line if this does not work. Not for tomorrow, but end of year.
Kubiak has to be toast. Other teams have figured out their offense. They don't have the superior talent to execute the offense, and Kubiak has not adjusted.
Loss to the Jags at home - up until now, I didn't think that was possible.

I don't think Kubiak makes it to Christmas. This was just an embarrassment. The fanbase will not support another Kubiak season.
Back to back home losses to the Raiders & Jaguars. I think embarrassing is an understatement. Hopefully Bob McNair can find a HC that can actually call plays in the offseason, because Kubiak has gotta be toast
