I heard a comment that the resources that would be needed to get people to and from the stadium would be better allocated to keeping other more important routes and services attended to. Doesn't seem dumb at all.
Three feet of snow had already fallen by Friday morning in Orchard Park, home of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills.
“I want to be very clear: This is not your normal snowfall in the city of Buffalo or in the region,” Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said Friday as 4 to 5 feet of snow was forecast. “This is a snowstorm with potentially deadly consequences if people do not do the right thing.”
Except I've seen a ton of Bills fans saying they intend to now drive from Buffalo to Detroit. Not smart. They would have stayed home if they would have just kept the game in Buffalo to an empty stadium.
I watched the entire Bills/Lions game on the CBS affiliate in Houston, and right after the tying field goal (25-25) they cut away to a local tornado warning....and staying on air explaining the warning (for over 15 minutes...saying the same thing 10 different ways) until the warning ended at 3pm CST/4pm EST.
I missed the game winning drive (20 seconds), the field goal with :02 left, and the end of the game.
With Buffalo's win against Detroit on Thanksgiving, the Bills became the most recent team to win games in consecutive weeks at Ford Field. The previous team to do it (and the only other team to ever do so), of course, was the Lions, who last did it way back in 2016.
Bills are the first team ever to win three games on the road in 12 days.
The 1931 Green Bay Packers won road games at the New York Giants on November 22, at the Providence Steam Roller on November 26, and at the Brooklyn Dodgers on November 29 - a span of eight days.
They were an NFL team, why is it not fair? Because you don't know NFL history?
