It was only maybe a mile out of the way altogether and we had to pee anyway... but to say I was disappointed after seeing a billboard every three minutes for a couple hundred miles would be an understatement.

That's the power of marketing. Wall Drug's been doing this for decades. Few people will disagree that the place is over-hyped. They've been doing this same thing that's now being done to us through social media and the wonderful world of cookies.

Buffalo burgers and a mean caramel roll fresh from the oven. Decent cowboy-style coffee.

International student workers from all over the world. Stroll around and visit with them.

Vintage automatons and a little SD history.

Hilarious people watching on the front porch.

This sounds bizarre but for some getting to try "beefalo" is worth paying a premium tourist-y price for.....

(It's delicious btw.)
