I grew up on fry bread. The recipe that I have is not it. I want to turn my child onto fry bread and I don't want to blow it. Does anyone have a recipe for fry bread?

Hmmm...problem here is, what culture's fry bread did you grow up with? Because pretty much every culture in the world has some incarnation of this luscious tasty food. If we know what type you're looking for...then we might be able to help!
This is wonderful... a place to try out fry bread recipies that I have been looking for!

I live on a reservation where a lot of folks eat frybread. Everyone I know who loves it and eats it regularly is really fat and unhealthy. Personally I can't stand it, way too greasy. Maybe I haven't tried any from a good cook yet. A lot of frybread in my area is used in place of tortillas in what are called "Indian Tacos".
