I grew up on fry bread. The recipe that I have is not it. I want to turn my child onto fry bread and I don't want to blow it. Does anyone have a recipe for fry bread?

Would you like a recipe I have from a lady from Nez Perce reservation?
The only fry bread recipe I have, I made it few times and IMO it is delicious.

Hmmm...problem here is, what culture's fry bread did you grow up with? Because pretty much every culture in the world has some incarnation of this luscious tasty food. If we know what type you're looking for...then we might be able to help!

Not sure if this is my original link or not. One of my links is on a PC that got lightning hit and is not repaired as of yet.

This is wonderful... a place to try out fry bread recipies that I have been looking for!
Fry bread with confectioner's sugar sprinkled on top is so good! Served to me on a Mohawk Indian reservation in NY.

I live on a reservation where a lot of folks eat frybread. Everyone I know who loves it and eats it regularly is really fat and unhealthy. Personally I can't stand it, way too greasy. Maybe I haven't tried any from a good cook yet. A lot of frybread in my area is used in place of tortillas in what are called "Indian Tacos".

The original interest I had in frybread started with a health new article on it and it's health dangers as well as the sad history behind it.

What I consider "fry bread" is a southern version - which I have always thought of as fried cornbread.
