Made this yesterday, it's delicious! I used all-purpose flour and one pkg. of Fleishmann's rapid-rise yeast. The texture is outstanding!
Best Bread Machine Bread
"This recipe is easy and foolproof. It makes a very soft and tasty loaf of bread with a flaky crust."
Original recipe yield: 1 - 1 1/2 pound loaf.
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 (.25 ounce) package bread machine yeast
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
Place the water, sugar and yeast in the pan of the bread machine. Let the yeast dissolve and foam for 10 minutes. Add the oil, flour and salt to the yeast. Select Basic or White Bread setting, and press Start.
Ohhhhhhhh, thank you!!! I've been looking for an excuse to get my bread machine back in to commission I'm so sick of wheat (cardboard) bread!! I'm going to make this TODAY!

We just recently bought a mini Zojirushi bread machine and hubby has become the official bread maker in the house. He makes cinnamon raisin bread for himself and is asking what kind of loaf I want him to make today. I am trying to decide between the recipe you just posted or some cheesy onion bread. Hmmm...
Maggie, just tell him to add the cheese and onions to this bread before turning the machine on. I'v heard that jalepenos and cheese is also good to add before. Here's another good one that's different....
Onion Dill Bread
1 package yeast
31/3-cups flour
¼ teaspoon baking soda
11/2-teaspoon salt
1 unbeaten egg (use ingredients at room temperature)
Mix together, warm and add:
¼ cup water
¾ cup cottage cheese
¾ cup sour cream
3 Tablespoons sugar
3 Tablespoons minced dried onion
2 Tablespoons whole dill seed
11/2 Tablespoons butter
In the order listed, place dry ingredients and egg into inner pan. Warm next set of ingredients, add them. Select white bread, and push “start” Lightly brush the top with a little melted butter at time of baking time if you wish.
This recipe is from the (DAK) Breadmaker Recipe book. I see no reason it could not be made with a mixer.
This rich bread fills the house with the enticing sent of onion and spicy aroma of dill. Everyone loves this hearty unusual bread!
CHOCOLATE CHIP BREAD
This is great toasted and slathered with butter and peanut butter. Taste like Reese's Peanut Butter Candy!!
1/4 cup water
1 cup milk, slightly warmed in microwave
1 egg ( I use 1/4 cup egg beater)
4 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons bread machine yeast
1 cup chocolate chips
Put in pan in this order, select basic or French bread cycle, light crust. Check to see if you need to add a little more flour during first mixing process.
1 1/3 c. water
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups bread flour
1 1/4 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 1/2 teaspoon bread machine yeast
3/4 c. small pimento stuffed olives, well drained
Put all ingredients except olives in pan, use regular or French bread cycle, light crust. When about half thru first mix cycle, add olives. You can add at beginning but they will smash up too much.
I am really enjoying these bread machine recipes! I have packed mine away (takes up counter space) but I enjoyed using it and have decided to get it out again and start making bread. But I wanted some new recipes - and you all have given me a good start.

Hubby made cheesy onion bread from the bread machine cookbook. I will review the recipe tomorrow after I eat a slice for breakfast. It smells wonderful.
Oh my goodness, all these recipes look AMAZING! I'm going to try all I can. I got distracted this weekend and didn't get to make any, but I hope to sometime this week! Thanks!
