We live in a small neighborhood here in Lynchburg. I notice there's only two street lights on opposite sides of our neighborhood. Is there someone we can call to request some more be put in? Our neighborhood is fairly active. I always see people taking evening strolls or walking their dogs. I'd love to be able to be out a bit after dark and not have to worry about it being pitch black.

You report it to Appalachian Power. This company has a webpage to report street light issues.

Request some from the power company as mentioned, but if they won't provide you with any extras, out here in the country, you can have one installed for a monthly fee. Not sure if that would work in the city limits though. If neither one of those work, contact the city or your local politicians. If neither one of those work, then you are out of luck.

Update for anyone who cares: I contacted AEP and they told me to contact the city. So that's what I am doing now.

The power company is looking for someone to pay for it since they are no about to give anything away!
