Aerospace is still in Sacramento; those dollars and business have never left Sacramento since the boom days of Aerojet.

Kratos Unmanned Systems Division is building drones at its Sacramento Facility with a $50 (49.6) million contract with the Navy.

450 Sacramento area employees at McClellan Park with Kratos.

55 aerial target drones to be manufactured this year.

That makes sense. Out on Sunrise Blvd, not too far away from the Rancho Cordova Costco, there is this building that looked like a factory, but it was actually the Tri-Tool Machine Shop. I read up on them, they got started when SMUD was building Rancho Seco. But they branched into making stuff for aerospace and electronics companies nationwide. I assume they started selling stuff to Aerojet, but that had me thinking that Aerojet probably created a bunch of supporting suppliers in the region and also brought in some workers that could help you build drones locally.

Very interesting about Tri Tool. Thanks for posting that. I never heard of them before.

Kratos got another contract for drones, besides the 50 Million dollar Navy contract, the new one is for the Air Force 21 million to be built at the same Sacramento facility.
