Merovee: Since I was a small child I have totally allowed mass media (television, movies, music) to shape and form my ideas in everything from life in general to romance.

Lu: I too was influenced perhaps a bit too much, heh. Embarrassing. Just because you see James Bond and Indiana Jones jumping for life from some royally-high elevation to only survive the feat wholly intact does not mean that In Real Life young boys {and girls} should habitually daily jump from the tops of buses and houses and trees while playing WAR, TAG, and other games, yet there I was with buddies always doing exactly that for years. I can't believe I never broke any bones doing that.....

M: I recognize that but of course also recognize that I have a choice now to not allow them such influence. Overall though society is hooked because it is easier! But it does make life impossibly hard and unrealistic at times because the good guy does not always win in the end. Not in life, not in romance, not in political elections.

L: Ah, but is there really such a thing as a "Good Guy", I wonder?

Personally, my own belief is that, to varying degrees, we all have both good and bad {or what we *call* Good and Bad} in each of us.......

I just recently heard about this book, by the way. Sounds interesting:

The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo

@ lu right we are all gray

@ sa dave I hope that works out for you

My random thought for the day are lyrics by Stars.

"When there's nothing left to burn you have to set yourself on fire."

The song is actually lovely especially the final fantasy mix or remix.

Something I found in a friend's private blog:

**********************

How do you feel when you go to a fast food place to order your food and the person working behind the counter just looks at you, says nothing, talks and laughs to their friend, and then looks at you again, and still says nothing because they are too damn busy talking and laughing and talking to their friend?

This is the number one reason I loathe summers. Teenagers that work at fast food restaurants are imbocilic a-holes. Sure a few here and there are respectful, courteous hard workers, but the majority that go to work are douchebags...
but
at least they work...
and
I was probably one when i worked at k-mart in highschool..
sigh

random thought for fo the day for me:
I can't wait to 'Fall Back'
