Don't believe the hype. There's over a million people in San Jose, 1.8 million in the valley. Plenty of variety.

I don't understand this comment, San Jose doesn't have a particularly high ratio of men to women, not according to the census bureau anyway.

It's above 50% men so people freak out. If you walk down the street, though, it's not like Smurf Village or anything.
