Santa Fe is one of the most amazing places in the USA. Color this Phoenician jealous every time we visit. My wife hates cold, so retiring there is out of the question, but were I single? I'd be there in a heartbeat.

So you might want to keep your sailboat!!!

Yep, this is a special place alright; glad you "got it".

My current sailboat is 31' long with a 4'-8" draft (bottom of keel to water line), too big to trailer easily. But I can always charter in some tropical location if I decide to give it up. Santa Fe does not need to have much sailing in the area for me to enjoy its many other fine attributes.

Yep, I knew it. But did not think it would be THAT bad, never seen it so congested even during Market. Or maybe I am just getting older and temper is shorter.

Just got back this last Sunday, and it was pretty crowded on Friday (school was out) and my visit was fine.

Stayed Saturday night at Ghost Ranch so it was plenty quiet and peaceful.

Same here. Husband doesn't care for Santa Fe, so I will move there when he passes. You have to be realistic about these things - he is a two time cancer survivor and ten years older than me.

Being there will give me some peace when I'm alone, I think.
