46 F was this morning's low in Statesboro and 50 F in Savannah. This is rare, because once May hits, it starts getting really hard to drop below 60 F at night.

I am so enjoying this lovely weather before the hot, sticky, humid summer arrives and the gnats. This is so pleasant this morning. Love having my windows open and the sunshine, shining inside.

Yesterday and Thurs. I don't think there was a household in Sav. that didn't have all the their windows upon and units shut. That'll be over soon, sadly.

Except for the pollen (of course) and maybe some excessive rainfall, I can't recall a spring as cool and pleasant as this one. The last week or so has been absolutely splendoreous (no AC and open windows in Savannah IN MAY!) .... and the week ahead looks almost as nice. No 90s in the forecast until week after this.

It has been a whole year since the thread began.
This Memorial Day weekend has to go down as one of the best ever, weather wise.
We spent the day downtown and it was so pleasant, with low humidity and bright sunshine. If only every day could be like this.

I could not agree more. I was loving it earlier today being outside.

This rain is coming down pretty hard here. Wow. So much rain this year. Send it to drought stricken states!

Despite the few rain storms on the 4th and 5th of July, the cool breezes they brought have been a lovely respite to the hot temperatures. I'm enjoying the cool breeze right now.

Looking at the radar yesterday morning, I was convinced that any Independence Day celebrations I had planned were going to be rained out for the second time in three years, but the parade in Cumming went on as planned with just a very light rain, which was enough to keep the temperatures pleasant. The sun eventually came out by mid-afternoon, and I went back to Athens to watch the fireworks with my family. The sky was mostly clear yesterday evening, though there was a stray thunderstorm off to the north that had its own fireworks show going. Basically, the weather didn't interfere, and I enjoyed all the festivities I had planned.

Unfortunately, it appears that event got rained out in Tennessee and Alabama, but hopefully they were able to compensate for it today.

Here we go! I think the stifling summer weather has finally turned the corner. Today is just magnificent, and I think the coming week is supposed to stay cool.
This is the first day since spring that the AC has stayed off all day and all the windows are open.
