All the aliens are dead by now laughing at how stupid human beings are. We're alone in the universe now.

All About Granite and its Geology

Granite is the signature rock of the continents. More than that, granite is the signature rock of the planet Earth itself. The other rocky planets—Mercury, Venus and Mars—are covered with basalt, as is the ocean floor on Earth. But only Earth has this beautiful and interesting rock type in abundance.
. . .
The continents "float" above the basalt, because not only is granite strong, it is lighter. All land, and land based life, is the beneficiary of granite’s properties.
. . .

All other elements are abundant throughout the solar system, so there's nothing special for E.T. to plunder on Earth.

[2] Can't say about microbiology. However, some consider that human beings are merely hosts for the billions of bacteria that ride within us. Perhaps they are the true rulers of the planet.
So the little bastards are coming for our countertops?

Why would an advanced species invade Earth for our natural resources when there are many other planets to procure those natural resources with out having to deal with an indigenous sentient species..
We have nothing to offer advanced species that they couldnt get elsewhere.

Maybe they will send a group of miners to blow that asteroid apart.
I always wonder why people choose to call a post silly, then post a worse response because they are too lazy to actually try. Why is it "total fantasy" that a virus/bacteria could be frozen or contained in an asteroid and lay dormant until arrival. Or that were not the only intelligent life in the universe? Are you just one of those people who doesn't believe it if they can't see it?

At the least how about an extensive biosphere, for all sorts of reasons. "To deal with an indigenous sentient species", You make it sound like it couldn't be as easy as swatting us flies. How quickly do you think they would be able to tell that we don't have the ability to reasonably space travel, and would never be able to seek revenge?

If Alien lifeforms were intelligent enough and sophisticated enough to make it to our planet, I would like to think they would have evolved past our one warlike and petty behavior. (When making comparisons of the humans here on earth, to me it would appear that the more educated and intellectually evolved people tend to be less hostile, and more progressive and forward thinking. But yet, they would probably take one look at us, and decide we were too primitive in form to really bother much with.

Ask yourself what you would do if you had a spaceship and could travel to other planets.
That's probably what they would do.

Would you try to wipe them all out and take whatever stuff they had?

And if their biology was so similar that your diseases could harm them, would you not share the cures you have for your own diseases?

Or would you just try to seduce as many of their women as possible? You would be surprised at how many females are impressed with a really cool spaceship. And they would have no way of knowing that you were driving your moms 200 year old galacto-PT Cruiser.

A space faring civilization wouldnt waste their time coming to Earth as we have nothing to offer that couldnt be acquired from one of the trillions of other planets in the universe.
