Default My kind of trivia! Here are a few more for your list

IiI only came to this site while looking (out of idle curiosity) to find out where or what the original bombay bicycle c
lub was. I. Weeny there a lot in '77, to see a great band called PAPAYA. Anyone remember them? I think the BBClub was open into the early 80s because I'm pretty sure I went there with people I met in '81 and '82. I think this club might haver been the first in seattle to feature reggae. The crowd LOVED IT - I remember that!

Other clubs for your list:

Bogey's
The pipeline (eastlake area)
The Rainbow Tavern
The Golden Crown (remember COLD BOLD AND (word I forgot...TOGETHER?) This was an after hours place with soul music a lot of the time. Upstairs near the Bon

Going way back to the 60s, before I was legal ... Remember gold creek park, woodinville whe re the original members of HEART played (starting out as ARMY, then WHITE HEART)

EAGLE'S auditorium, where I saw my first rock concert 1969, FLEETWOOD MAC, when it was an all,guy blues band featuring lesser-known "guitar god" Peter Green.
Sick's Stadium janis.and the.youngbloods july 5 1970 just after KENT STATE, then Jimi later that month ...both would die that year

Getting off-topic, sorry! I have never heard of a few of the places on your list. Maybe they were before my time? Turned 22 in 1974. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES! VIVIA

Default Pioneer Square Nightlife

Besides The Old Timers, a couple other blues bars in Pioneer Square were Larry's Greenfront (where the Seahawk was beat up) and The New Orleans, which is still active. Don't remember much about the 70s scene because I didn't move here until 1980. Other live music bars closed in PSquare were Fenix/Fenix Underground (twice), OK Hotel, Bohemian, Doc Maynards, Colourbox, Velvet Elvis, Catwalk.

The joint cover charge with 7 or 8 bars with bands was a lot of fun. It's pretty much down to The New Orleans, Central and Fuel with regular live music now. When the J&M re-opened a couple years ago they had bands until atleast a few months ago. Not sure if they do anymore, no ads anywhere. DJ bars are more popular now, with The Last Supper Club where Ned's was and Trinity taking the Bohemian and Velvet Elvis spaces. Although one, Tiki Bob's closed, and the space is now The Lodge, a sports bar and grill on King Street.

In the North end in early 70s, Bighorn was the big band at the Aquarius - also the Camelot on Lake City Way, the District Tavern, Embers in West Seattle, Pipeline (Heart played there) on Eastlake, My Place (airport), there was a downstairs bar on University Ave (Annie Rose & the Thrillers were big there) - can’t remember the name...Stack-o-wax was a short-lived early disco on Northgate Way

This is my list so far, please add to it

Pier 70
Golden Tides
The Warehouse
Horatios
Latitude 47
Shelley's Leg
Tavern on Eastlake, I think the name was the Zoo Tavern, the band City Zu used to play there
Parker's Ballroom
The Monastery
Doc Maynards??
There was a blues place in Pioneer Square, but I can't remember the name
There was Larry's Blues Club in Pioneer Square. I loved that place. Friday night drink special was Electric Ice Tea, $5 in a pounder glass. Just 2 of them was all I needed.
