As for footwear
SOCKS thick work boot type socks.
Chippewa, Whites, Danner, Redwing type boots
Biggest issue to me is a lot of boots and hiking shoes cannot be resoled. Anything that has a glued and overlapping up the sides of the shoe type of sole cannot be resoled. So once the sole wears or comes unglued it’s done. Tennis or athletic shoes should be set aside for around the homestead work type shoes
It’s best to get bots that can be resoled. I’ve seen videos where the tread of car tires is cut ad made into a boot sole. Eventually there will be some semblance of civilization abd peole will need things sewn patched and repaired. I see leather working as a good skill to have.
