There are two strains of monkeypox, one with a 3.6% and one with a 10.6% death rate. According to Malone's article, the mutated form is from the 3.6% strain.
The covid death rate is, what, 0.01%? And that was enough to lock the world down and destroy the economy?
It isn't a respiratory virus. Unless you (or your partner) has been hitting the European Rave scene, you don't have anything to worry about.
Think about it. Rabies, if you aren't vaccinated and don't get treated after you get bit, is 100% fatal (or close to it.)
Ebola has a wickedly high fatality rate but isn't a huge concern in western countries; we don't have the same funeral/burial customs and we have better sanitation.
"The multi-country outbreak most likely has a single origin, with all sequenced viruses released so far* tightly clustering together."
"the outbreak virus belongs to the West African clade and is most closely related to viruses (based on available genome data) associated with the exportation of monkeypox virus from Nigeria to several countries in 2018 and 2019, namely the United Kingdom, Israel and Singapore."
The article discusses possible evolutionary events.
Not necessary to invoke another evil lab event.
I think you have it right.
What all of this means is that, while something bad may happen because of this, we have a long time (compared to Covid) to deal with it. How long we have before people panick? Well that is a different game. I am not a real virologist, but I understand viruses better than I understand the Sheeples, as they are more logical.
Just Fear. Only Fear. Like it or not : it's the Reality, cycle of life for billions of years. Viruses are existing for Eons, doing their job of cleansing and regulating the Whole Balance. Not to mention that Humans provoke it to the fullest...What a vital need regarding human overpopulation : VITALLY, for human specie future as well...
Well, let's be honest : we ALL die sooner or later. From death rate to death rate : Marburg 80-90 % (top 1), smallpox ~30 % and miserable covid <3 %....sincerely, let's be Down-to-Earth. Monkeypox being close to nothing in terms of death threat.
More chance to die of a car crash, far more. Dying quickly at its utmost ! What's after is beyond, trust any Near-death experience all around the world. If liberated : Beyond. SO MANY things will arrive for Everyone to count its very days. It is just the Beginning of an Avalanche. Strong & Wise with feathers in the *ss...
Avoid direct humans thanks to wonderful internet (that won't last as well, for sure) : will come a time when humans won't be good at all to each other, among. Because of sudden, hysterical Survival. Prepare in leaving far away from bipeds, deep in a forest if massive clear-cut slaughter let some vital trees ! Oh & a stream, flowing water. And, and, and : to what at this end ? Extinction, human also. Suggestion : BREATHING exercises would be a very good start to handle life better, GROUND. We are all on the same butchered boat : EARTH.
Diseases much more often found in "men who have sex with men." HIV and AIDS. USA 300. shigellosis, salmonellosis, giardiasis, and amebiasis. Hepatitis A. Hepatitis B. TB.... If one were to say it was unhealthy for a man to have sex with a man you would probably upset someone.

That is the dumbest most illogical conclusion.
You do realize that any person whether straight, gay, bi can get AIDS or any of those diseases.
Men tend to be more promiscuous than women, so when both partners are men there is a higher chance of multiple partners and just more sexual activity.
As long as you have protected sex, whether straight or gay you lessen the chance of STD's.
It's ridiculous comments like yours that spread the homophobic nonsense.

Yep. But it isn't just the sexual act, it is the level of promiscuity (and predatory behavior) that causes diseases to spread though that community. It is something that the MSM has been silent on and everyone else has tried to cover up, ever since the fraudulent stats in the Kinsey report.
And, looky: not only can he not understand the post, but he fulfilled your prediction.

The conclusion is not illogical because it is based on fact. ALL of those diseases are much more common in men who have sex with men. You might have 1 in 10,000 chances of getting one in the hetro population but the odds go down to 1 in 5,000 if you are a male and have sex with other men.
There is no "homophobe" issue there, is it just being realistic about the risks.
Watch how the monkeypox plays out. Sure some straights are going to get it but no where near the rate of the MSM group.
