Someone commented that I haven't posted lately - but I AM still reading the replies and seeing the comments on this thread. I have looked in the past few months at Colorado Springs, but am still not sure on where we will move, but Ivins/St. George has always been one of my top choices - but there are always drawbacks that come with these choices....
Having TOO MANY choices is making this decision all the harder..
I will continue to read anything/everything I can on this area, as well as others - so I can figure out which place will best suit us. Thanks to all who have responded thusfar, and all those who still will - I appreciate it.

I agree. I love Colorado Springs. It is so beautiful during the summertime. My husband and I are hoping to move there in a couple of years from St. George. We are ready for a change of scenery. In my college years I spent a few summers with a roommate in Colorado Springs and it was the best place to be! We've taken several family vacations through there over the years and have always had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. Good luck with your decision!

Does anyone out there have any pictures you can add to this thread to show some of the scenery, city life, anything, residential neighborhoods, shopping areas/malls, parks, anything kid related --- any pictures you can add so I can get an idea of what it all looks like ??? I would REALLY appreciate it. Also, is it true what I am reading - that Colorado Springs gets more lightening strikes than anywhere in the U.S.A. ? Makes me a little concerned...

I’ve heard that too about CS and lightning. Invest in some good surge protectors and don’t stand near any tall objects during T-storms and you’ll be fine. I grew up in Tornado Alley so I miss all the good weather we had out there. Our weather in UT this year can be summed up as “hot and boring.”
