I did a poll for favorite budget tablet, but I will just do one for brands in general. What is your favorite tablet brand?

I am a Samsung guy myself. I just ordered myself a 128GB Galaxy Tab A8 in Pink Gold.

I had a Surface, and it was a piece of crap. It actually ended up separating, split apart. I've had no problems at all with the iPad.

I’ve been on iPad Mini tablets for years and they are so reliable and durable. I’m on a generation 5 (purchased 4/2021) and it’s the perfect size for me. I find the full size iPad a bit bulky for my uses.

The only two I've had experience with are iPads and a Google Slate.

The Slate is still going strong. But given that I've been in the MacOS ecosystem and have recently also gone into the iOS ecosystem, the iPad Pro is my preferred tablet. Not to mention work pays for it so.....

Just a quick question, does the google slate have support for running Android apps?

My favorite are Apple. Even so, a new 12.2" iPad that I purchased about a month ago I haven't used much (maybe four times?). I ordered it from Apple Store online with a Logitech touch/trackpad (Combo I guess). The keyboard/case covers the iPad all around when collapsed, and it works quite well with the iPad. This is a very strong case, and relatively inexpensive at $142.00.

Tablets may be handy when traveling if one does not want to carry a heavy and expensive laptop, but I find them quite boring. I carry mine when traveling within Alaska taking photos of wildlife and things like that, but that's about it. I have some camera and other electronic manuals (eBooks) with instructions I may have to read now and then when I am not at home.

Yes. It's Chrome OS, but i've never had an issue running any Android app. I had a Pixel II phone and it was a great companion. Much like iPad/iPhone integration.
