I'm thinking this is a nationwide thing due to the cost of parts escalating so much post-Covid. Some parts are impossible to obtain, so insurance companies are providing loaners for weeks or months.

EV's are also driving up costs. I'd like to see a separate risk pool for EV's vs. gas cars/trucks.

Our annaul premium for 2 SUV's went from $2,000/yr, to $2,400/yr...20%...no tickets or accidents...nothing changed.

It's happening everywhere. Another poster claimed 17% nationally, ours just went up 20%...not a huge diff.

I'm not aware of any steps by our Governor to reduce auto insurance...anyone out there know?

I don't know what it is with this forum....say something and instead of people asking or looking to learn more, the immediate response is to call someone a liar. SMH.

Yep LKJ, you know everything...and if you don't the other person is lying.

no accidents, no tickets, same cars, same 2 drivers... insurance went up 40%....
Shopped around and was not impressed with options as we couldn't find anything better, in fact, other carriers reduced limits from 300K/100K to 25K/50K to have the same price we got at renewal (after 40% increase).
Shocked....

I just renewed both my car and motorcycle insurance with Progressive.
Both went down.
Car by 20% and the bike by 10%. I was quite surprised... Not sure why but i'll take it. Makes up for the house insurance increase a bit.
