Incredible near future render. That's a big league skyline for sure! In 5 years time the Yorkville skyline alone will be bigger than many major cities in the U.S.
one weakness is that almost all skyscrapers are on or with a few steps from Yonge/Bay Street, or south of King St. I hope it can spread out a bit more.

Agreed. Don't forget about Yong and Eglinton and Yonge Sheppard areas which are also doing a bit of building there as well.
Right now Toronto has 71 buildings over 400 feet. There will be 111 in total in about 3-4 years. Amazing to see the city grow so much in so little time.
The skyline is impressive and the real estate boom has elevated it up a notch. In fact, it is not unreasonable to argue that TO's skyline is top 10 in the world depending on the critera. But I think what is holding the skyline back is the lack of iconic or beautiful buildings. We need something else to take the spotlight off the CN Tower, to the extent possible. The skyline looks great with the lights off but I hope future development focuses more on aesthetics as well so that day time views can get better. I think that's what is needed to take it up another level.
true.
Toronto hardly has any great, recognizable buildings. If CN tower is taken away from the skyline, the rest of the skyline is so generic and hardly anyone can tell which city it is.
You could say that about a lot of cities. Take away that building and this building and hardly anyone can tell which city it is.
