Wolesley appears to be a "hipster" neighborhood much like Uptown in Minneapolis about 8 hours away:

The buildings outside East India Pub & Eatery reminded me of what I've seen in pictures of new upscale developments in Delhi:

If you ever get to Winnipeg, I would strongly recommend fasting the entire day and eating at the East India Pub and Eatery, as it is the largest Indian buffet I have ever laid eyes on. Chicken, beef, fish, lamb, even mussels are here. Not to mention the sweets bar, which isn't in this picture.

I was out for the day around Sedbergh, travelling by bus, and decided to get off on the spur of the moment. On the map was marked a church, a couple of miles walk away. I had no idea what I would see but it turned out to be an inspired decision to get off that bus.

This is here I got off. The building in the centre was a church; it's now closed for worship but still open to visitors.

This was a railway viaduct; the railway's closed and there's no access to the viaduct.





The road I had to walk up. Spot the milestone on the left - this used to be a turnpike road and the milestone dates from the early 19th century.



Borrow Bridge 5 3/4 miles, Kirkby Lonsdale 10 3/4 miles.

The day had been damp with low clouds but while I was at the church the sun came out over the Howgill Fells.







This made the walk to get there well-worthwhile.
