Last April I had a crown, filling and xray done in Tandil, Argentina for $60. But I don't have his name.

No concern! I have had dental work done all over Latin America: Ecuador, El Salvador, Bolivia, Mexico.

There's a lot of women dentists down there. I have not been disappointed with any dental work I've had done there, and I merely saw a dental office on the street and entered. Look the facility over, for cleanliness, and if it feel right and you trust them, then go for it!

If you google websites for English-speaking dentists down there, You'll pay much more than merely going to dentists who can't speak English. Just take your phrasebook along, and save some money.

Before I went to Argentina I googled some of those English-speaking dentists with websites and they were looking to charge me anywhere from $250-$400 for a crown. It's the same with Mexico. When in Mexico, I go to the dentists that the locals go to.

Ask the locals--they would know best.
