As some of you may know, there is a serial cat killer on the loose in Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay. This person is taking peoples cats and skinning, disemboweling, and mutilating them, leaving them in neighbors yards. There has been a total of 25 cats hit so far in the month of May. I have already been in contact with the Mayor of PB and the Lieutenant of the PBPD. If anyone has any information, there is a good sized reward that Im sure will continue to grow. PLEASE come forward!!!!!! Any little bit helps!!! And please keep your cats indoors until this POS is caught!!!!!!

Now Im sure some people will argue about cats being outdoors but I would just be as outraged if it was dogs or any other animals. They are still creatures of this planet and very loved by their human parents and families. This is not the time to sit here and debate this. Lets catch this POS and give him/her what they deserve. We all know that the torture of animals is a beginning to a much darker path..

I would bet that the person who is doing it lives in the neighborhood and may not be doing it in the middle of the night. Who is to say that they don't have a trap hidden to attract the cats. They could catch them and do as they wish in private. When the opportunity is clear they could dump the cat. The pet owners should keep their cats in sight and report them missing as soon as they don't see them. Not by calling 911 but the police could set up an email account to send reports to. That way they could get an idea of the time when the cats are going missing.

Simply hiding on roofs in the middle of the night or in parked cars may not catch the person responsible. The person will either screw up or move on to what he/she is really after. Isn't this how serial killers start?

Do searches of peoples yards looking for traps, if found don't remove pretend you didn't see it but keep an eye on it to see what happens. Look for the Cat haters. May be the person has been making complaints about cats to the city. This may be their way of getting people to do something about the cat overpopulation. If the person got so frustrated that the City or Animal control was doing nothing they may be just taking matters in their own hands.

honestly they should set up patrols, and when they see the responsible, shoot them on sight.

Someone who would do this sort of thing is a POS, you're right. Is there something in the water down there? Good grief.

I had an interesting threat made to me 4 days ago regarding my cats by somebody who I've fought with on a Miami forum for several years. I forwarded the info to the correct authorities and they are definitely looking into it. POS

I'm a big cat person, so I hope they catch this piece of scum ASAP. In the meantime, keep an eye on your pets and tell your family, friends and neighbors to do the same.

You know what I would do if I found out who is doing that? The same thing he/she is doing to the cat. At least I would promote that to be the punishment they deserve.

How awful that anyone can do this.

It's just a matter of time before he gets bored with cats and moves on to children or women. This is someone with serious psychological problems and seriously needs to be stopped, the cats are just a prelude to something much bigger. Very, very scary.
