Since we're talking food, I have to reccomend Lucky Wishbone. If its grease you love, then grease you'll get. I've never seen fried chicken as big as what they have. One breast at the Bone is bigger than an entire half of chicken at the Boston Market.

Visit Arizona for the winter
Anyone out there know what part of Arizona would be a great place to live Nov-March. Want to put everything in storage or get rid of in Iowa and head to warmer climate.What is rent priced at? Can you purchase a camper reasonable there and could you campout for the 4 months. Could you live on a $1000.00 a month? Any help or direction will be appreciated.

Redington Pass
A quick getaway just outside Tucson is Redington Pass. Tanque Verde terminates into this road leading over a saddle between the Catalinas and the Rincons. On weekends it's quite busy with ATV's and people shooting guns, but it's funny how quickly you loose that crowd by heading into the hills just a little further: the crowd seems to be afraid to head out passed ten miles
Good for me! And anyone else wishing to see the big emtpy.

I like Grant road with its crater-like potholes and endless rows of run down strip malls. But then... that's not just Grant road is it?

No, I don't think that's just Grant Road either. Pretty much every city in the USA fits this description, ha! The American town is really ugly.

True to some extent. The US needs to spend a lot more money on infrastructure in general. It is seriously behind most of Europe, Japan and South Korea.
But Tucson is a special case. The roads in this town are in such bad shape that some of them are outright dangerous. I guess when you have a city that's as poor as Tucson you have to learn to accept it though. As an earlier poster noted, even the nicest neighborhoods have roads that are in need of serious repair.
Of course, when there is no real economy and no plans to develop one what can you expect?
There are many beautiful areas around Tucson. But they have nothing to do with the City. They are beautiful IN SPITE of Tucson, not because of it. And that's sad...
