Hi. My kids want to move to California too. But I don't think they'd like living there with no money to go to movies, shop, out to eat, etc... living in California is expensive! We drive there in 6-7 hrs. You can stay at the KOA in a cabin CHEAP or find low-priced hotels and spend a lot of money on everything else. You can fly there for around $80 most of the time. You should join a group that hangs out and does fun stuff. Like Pantano Christian Church-they have a great youth group! my kids WISH we lived in Tucson- because we live WAY out in the desert and have to drive an HOUR to do anything fun in Tucson

I'll bet that kids in NYC complain that it is boring and there is nothing to do, too. It's the anthem of youth .

Truly, Ponderosa. So NYC kid would probably find Tucson great, since it is like a "foreign land" to them. Vice versa for Tucson kids....

Also the parents have alot to do as to whether a kid(s) find a place fun or boring. I'd think with five mountain ranges there be lots of mountain biking, hiking, camping, repelling, hang gliding etc..I just did a google on the Catalinas and seen ''Chiva falls'' as i'm shocked there's a water fall and pool of water in the hot sonoran desert. Also researching Patagonia Lake state park about 50 miles? from tucson as you can water ski/ jet ski ...i wish we had a recreational lake that close to us here in Albuquerque (110 miles closest). Also used to live in Jacksonville, Fla and nothing but swamps all around the city with Gators and Water Moccasins (snakes) in them and Shark attacks in the Atlantic Ocean by Sand Sharks so you didn't go past your knees in the water. But hey we all have different tastes....

Nothing to do? Ha. My husband has a list of things to do in a THREE PAGE Word document. If you can't find something to do, you're either lazy or uncreative.
