I thought I'd have an unusual Thanksgiving dinner this year at a Chinese Buffet on Wilmont/Speedway. I called 2 weeks ago to find out if they were open on Thanksgiving and they said yes. So, to double check, I called today and NO, not open on Thanksgiving. And I had planned to meet there with my cousin and wife from Green Valley.

I must have called 12 different places, and none open for Thanksgiving Day.

There must be single people in town, with no friends or relatives, that would like a Thanksgiving dinner alone.

There is a high class restaurant open for Thanksgiving, Cielos, at The Lodge, but I called and they're booked solid for Thanksgiving.

I lived in Las Vegas for 22 years (10 years too long) and, as you'd expect, the Buffets were all open, and I'd go to the Longhorn on Boulder Highway, which always has great food and reasonable, open 24 hours, and I'd go there for my Thanksgiving meal.

So, we're going to have a belated Thanksgiving dinner Friday instead, the Chinese Buffet. Next Thanksgiving in Tucson I'll be more prepared. I'm a good cook, and I'll cook up a big Thanksgiving dinner at my house.

Thank you so, so much for that upload. My cousin loves Indian cuisine. And yes, I know, Casino Del Sol's restaurants, I believe, are open, but after 22 years in Las Vegas, I really don't want to step inside a casino property than absolutely necessary.
