Surprisingly enough, most of us see many. Guess you and Jill alone already count as two!

I am not a pedestrian - it is too dangerous.

The real fact of the matter is - I see the same sorts of pedestrians all over town.

No matter where you go you will see:
People walking because they like walking
Drunk people walking
Homeless drunk people walking
People who belong in prison, walking
Kids walking
Poor people walking

Additional food for thought:
The new 4th ave underpass has been open for what, less than a week? It already smells like urine.

I know... Walking is not popular around here. I like my urban hikes and sometimes would park somewhere with the intention of walking some and perhaps crossing an intersection. Everybody looks at me as if I have 2 heads or I'm a streetwalker...

Really? That's sad. Guess the demographics don't change as fast...

Maybe you are a 2 headed street person?

What makes you think the demographic is going to change at all?

Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed again or is that some kind of "humor"?!

Well, one would think that if downtown becomes more attractive to people other than bums, the demographics might change some.

Not wrong side of the bed, or humor. I saw a 2 headed lady with pig tails walking down Broadway once. I thought maybe that was you?

To fix downtown they should actually clean the place up, get some more police on the streets. Make the place feel safe.

No amount of pretty architecture is going to draw more people down town if they still get the impending sense of doom feeling every time they get near it.

Edit: I'd walk down a dark alley or street in the middle of the night near Grant and Alvernon, long before I'd ever think of doing the same downtown.

And I am a big guy with "Scary guns" to protect myself.

You got only the pigtails right. If you saw that, yep, it'd be me!
