I don't see suffering and injustice here.
What I see is that lots of people fear the unknown.

They are going to build it, and they are going to correct mistakes and misconceptions as they arise.
Hundreds years ago no one thought that computers, exploring the Space or cloning human organs could be possible. We won't learn anything if we don't try.

The entire concept is the antithesis of a self-correcting city. If you can only self-correct within a pre-defined box, literally...

This is someone's fantasy. Someone that has no idea how most people live or work.

You don't think there's suffering and injustice in Saudi Arabia?

Where have you BEEN?

Update:
Saudi Arabia has cut estimates for people living in its $500 billion Neom project.
Its government hoped the futuristic "The Line" city would hold 1.5 million by 2030.
Now, fewer than 300,000 are expected to live there by then.
While The Line is set to stretch over 170 kilometers (roughly 105 miles) only just 2.4 kilometers (around 1.5 miles) of that is expected to be completed by 2030 due to lack of funds.

I wonder, if this project is even worth to proceed.

Officials told Bloomberg that other aspects of the Neom project will continue as planned. The luxury tourist island of Sindalah is scheduled to open to the public this year, and the plans for the Winter Games to be conducted at Trojena in 2029 are not being shelved.

Winter Games? In Saudi Arabia?

First, they have to make the mountains. Then, the snow. Seems to me like a giant waste of money.

And I assume thses aren't the Winter Olympics, since those should take place in the winter of 2030. Unless they're starting in December 2029 and stretching into the new year. Edited to add: Should have looked it up first: these are the Asian Winter Games. Still, it's going to be a heavy lift to host winter sports there.

To prepare for the games, organizers plan to desalinate water from the sea and use snow machines to make snow. The complex is expected to feature year-round winter sports.

Apparently no problem. Dubai has many snow activities for kids, adults, and couples, including indoor ski centers, ice rinks, and other attractions.
