Hello,
We are planning a move from Frisco, TX (Dallas area) to the Vancouver area in the next few months (Spring 2015).
We are looking at Camas and Washougal areas. Have read great things, and seen the great ratings on the Camas schools. Our littles will be 9 & 7 when we move. We are involved in soccer & baseball currently and would like to get our kids involved in sports (or something active) when we get up there. Where do we look for youth recreation leagues, or are they available? We understand it will be different than our current town, just wondering what is available.

Any information is appreciated. I've already learned a ton from other posts on this forum.

Camas has an active parks and rec department, little league is big here but soccer is much bigger. The Camas-Washougal soccer club (academy? I can't remember the exact name) is huge.

Grange is a community / civic group similar to 4-H but expanded in offerings and more civic centric (be good training for your future politicians). Though a farmkid... Grange was new to me when I appeared in WA 30+ yrs ago! Many of my ole-timer friends have been lifelong members.
