We're getting lots of spring rain with some sunny days in between. April showers are definitely bringing May flowers. I headed up the Columbia River Gorge around an hour east and went from clouds to sun. The wildflowers are peaking in the Gorge right now. It's a beautiful time to visit the area. Here's a few pics.

Today was an everything day. I could have stayed inside because of the rain and wind.... or gone outside and enjoyed the beauty of spring in the NW. This is why it's my favorite season here. You can stay inside. But then you would be missing the best part.

What a day yesterday was! I took a long hike in the Gorge experiencing beautiful waterfalls and spring wildflowers. Then the northern lights when I was too tired to care.... until I started see local photos. So, I had to go see what all the fuss was about. What an amazing place we get to live in.

Gorgeous pictures Derek!
I do miss living in the Vancouver area. We moved there right at the beginning of the pandemic, then 2 years later we ended up moving to Redding, Ca. to take care of my older brother who has Alzheimer's. Hubby works remote so we were able to do it, and is a very patient person.
Sigh... first we were in pandemic lockdown and now we've been in dementia lock down for the past 2 years.
Not sure what will happen after he is more than I can handle and goes to memory care. I really love the PNW so maybe we go back. In the meantime, I'll keep peeking here looking for your pics.

Oh BTW! While we saw the northern lights very faintly in the backyard where we live here in Shasta, (just outside the city) my hubby's iphone camera caught the colors quite vividly! It was so cool!!

Today was a beautiful day in Vancouver after some morning clouds. Getting out on the water is always refreshing after a long week at work.
