Voice your opinions here on accuweathers FB post.. I'm reading some strong ones from new Englanders about being sick of snow. I'm hoping to see more of the opposite. lol

They ran a similar story on WCAX yesterday morning. I believe they also have a Facebook page and the topic may be there as well. There was an overwhelming opinion of people being sick and tied of snow and winter at this point. As of the morning report (yesterday), every post they mentioned was in support of warm weather.
This is not uncommon this time of year. If the winter is long and cold, people are done with winter. I feel that with this winter it's along the same lines. The total snowfall has been average, but the snow has not stayed on the ground. We would get a big dump and within a week or so it's all gone. This has been one of those grey blah winters. It wasn't one of those go outside and enjoy the snow winters unless a person skis. I say lets get the warm weather here.

It's cold here staying in the lower-mid 30s. Wow! I'm gathering firewood and my hands get cold after few minutes. Windchill in the 20s

Last year's forecast for Danby Vermont for todays timeframe.

I wouldn't mind more snow this year/season, but FB is too irksome/cumbersome for me to use regularly (so I won't be participating in their poll or whatever).
My tastes conflict, in terms of climate-I like warm (not hot) temperatures, yet I also adore snow (which obviously requires cold).
So, either way (as to when it starts to "feel" like spring instead of winter), I can find the silver lining.

I'd clear forgotten about that bizarrely warm week (or two), a year ago.
Consulted my journals & noted the reported temps. for a given day (according to NWS):
03/11/12: 57 degrees
03/12: 64
03/18: 73
03/20: 79
03/21: 73
03/22: 81
03/23: 70
03/24: 57
03/26/12: 37 degrees
Does not seem to be happening again this year, though-thanks for reminding me about that fluke, this time last year.

Snowed just a jot today-however, the snow from Tuesday (total was about 8" here) is still on the ground, for the most part (but sidewalks are clear, thank goodness).
Surprising (to me) how even after several days of above-freezing temps. (for instance, after the previous storm) the huge snowdrifts remain where they were piled by the plows.

Not sure where it came from, but woke up to 4-5" of fresh powder and it's still coming down.

Montpelier - about 4 inches of snow and still coming down. Didn't see this in any forecasts.

Just saw a winter weather advisory is posted, starting at 2pm today through tomorrow...3-6" with up to 10" in some areas. Not sure where this came from!
