This looks likely to pass. Guess our ABC stores will start selling MJ in 2024/2025.

Booze and drugs ... Just imagine how this would work if Virginia decided to legalize prostitution

The Democrats are trying their best to make Virginia just like California. What a great model to follow. California, where they're moving out in droves...

Or Colorado or Washington, which are economically booming and rapidly growing.

See how easy it is to cherry pick?

Of course people leave CA. After all, folks in CA pay more in federal tax dollars than they receive. Why shouldn't they move where they get more back than they pay? https://rockinst.org/issue-area/new-...al-government/

I'm excited about this. I think this could potentially be a huge boon to border regions in VA where weed isn't legal in other states. I also think this could be huge for downtrodden places like Bristol and Danville, which will also have casinos coming.

The poor rural cities are getting casinos. Being located near the state borders, they'll attract more business than the local area can provide on its own. Remember when the church lobby used to oppose gambling and lotteries.

Maybe, marijuana will drive the unsightly vape shops out of business. They've popped up all over the place. Marijuana franchises have been awarded last year.

Per a friend who is from there and wants to go back upon retirement. She said this is the reason and per her real estate agent as well.
