Just wondering if we should move to the Oaks or 7 Bridges. We have 2 kids gr 2 and 3. The school and community vibe is important for us. Any thoughts and suggestions? Or other community is preferred?

Both communities have large and beautiful houses. Oaks is an older community (2006ish) and did have issues with Chinese drywall. (https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2009...inese-drywall/). I personally am very wary to buy a property that has or could have been affected by Chinese drywall, even if the issue has been remediated.

7 Bridges/Bridges I have heard mixed reviews on. Some people who live there have mentioned they feel it to be somewhat pretentious/keeping up with the joneses. Have you looked into the Canyons? Canyons has houses ranging from 1700 sq ft under air up to over 5000 sq ft under air. The vibe there is great, school district pretty solid. My buyers in Canyons have been very happy with the move and the facilities they have met. If you want newer, Dakota is a nice community too. What's your budget? I really like Boca Falls, even thought that's an older community. It is a very solid option and zoned for water's edge elementary.

Your best Boca/Delray elementary schools are going to be: Morikami; Calusa; Water's Edge; Del Prado; A.D. Henderson/FAU; Water's Edge. I believe your children's interests and personalities help dictate what type of school they will best thrive in. Some programs will also have gifted/talented options. Others will focus on STEM learning. Some will begin training for pre-law or pre-med early on. As a parent who is currently searching for the best school for my son to attend kindergarten, I am faced with similar questions and concerns.

You can use greatschools.org to see what school you're zoned for. You're also able to do free charter and choice schools in Palm Beach county. My son is 4.5 and we were just at Morikami Elementary tonight for an open house. I would consider that to be one of the best schools in the area; it would be a lottery to get in, however.
