I would do it if I could.

Until recent years, I never had the ability to do it for more than a few weeks. Many times, it's hard to time things right with the new offer to get that extra time. I changed jobs in January - turned my badge in and was gone by Friday at lunch, started at the new place Monday morning.

I wish I had a few weeks.

I'm thinking of doing something similar. Putting business on hold and spending the winter in a low-cost foreign country. Relaxing on a beach just reading all day, and exploring the local foods and sights.

Not everyone is a psychopathic corporate ladder climber forever on a quest for more money. Live a little.
