Goofy as a goon and silly as a loon

others call it crazy
But they all sing this tune:

Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?
Yes! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
and liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

If the words sound *****
And funny to your ear,
A little bit jumbled and jivey
Sing "Mares eat oats
And does eat oats
And little lambs eat ivy"

Oh! Mairzy doats and dozy doats
And liddle lamzy divey
A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

Don't you just love the censor? My mom used to sing that song to me. I couldn't imagine what word might have been offensive until I came to that line.

Thanks for the laughs out loud.

I love the song Tiny Dancer--not sure now if I'll be able to hear it again the same way.

Honky Cat - Elton John

When I look back boy I must have been green
Bopping in the country, pissing in a stream.

I was disappointed when I figured out it was fishing in a stream. I liked my lyrics better!

My husband purposely makes his own lyrics, like:

Summer's Eve makes me feel fine...(Seals and Croft - instead of summer breeze makes me feel fine)

Here I am, with broken arms (Journey - instead of open arms)

When he's taking a shower, he sings "gonads, gonads..." to the tune of "Go now" (Moody Blues). I can only imagine what he is washing...

Oh Hell instead of Noel

He has an endless repertoire

What the heck is a "deuce bag"? Because that's not helping what everyone mishears.

They are actually saying "Revved up like a Deuce, another roller in the night." (A Deuce is a 32 Ford, in case anyone didn't know)
