Suite sizes are indicated by their category, with “Quality” being the smallest offered and the “Luxury” class only being surpassed by the “Bridal-VIP Suite,“ a bi-level accommodation. All suites, named after a famous painter or artist, reflect an early European style while providing the standard amenities you would expect of such a property and some surprises, such as a DVD player and Jacuzzi tubs. All suites have wired and wireless Internet access. Be sure to make use of the exercise room and indoor heated pool. For additional pampering, make an appointment for the spa, which offers a private pedicure room, hair salon, massage room, steam and sauna rooms, hydrotherapy, and a Vichy shower—a metal arm hosting six shower heads suspended over a cushioned table. As a body treatment, the Vichy shower can only be described as pure, delicious decadence. While there is no restaurant on-site, guests will be welcomed at the private University Club, located across the street. It serves breakfast and lunch buffets (Mon through Fri) and dinners Wed through Sat (coat and tie required for dinner). Meals will be charged to your room. Valet parking is available for $12 per night; given the limited parking in downtown Shreveport, it is well worth the expense.
