Description: This primarily commuter campus is divided into four colleges (Business Administration, Education and Human Development, Liberal Arts, and Sciences) offering 20 graduate degrees either independently or in cooperation with other institutions, more than 25 undergraduate programs, and approximately 18 preprofessional programs. With a student-teacher ratio of 19:1, you will be surprised at the amount of attention you will receive at an institution this size (the student body is approximately 10,000). In addition, LSUS offers evening courses, distance learning, and non-credit courses, encouraging people of all ages to remain active learners. The Pilots and Lady Pilots compete with distinction in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. LSUS is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
