Description: As the name implies, this ferry will take you directly to Edgartown (most ferry services take you to Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven). Sailing time aboard the Pied Piper is roughly one hour. They offer four round-trips daily in summer, with five on Friday. Mon through Thurs round-trip fares are $40 for adults, $25 for children 6 to 12, free for kids 5 and under, and $10 for bicycles. Fri through Sun round-trip fares for adults are $50, $30 for children 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under. There is an $25-per-day parking charge. Reservations are recommended.

2. Island Queen

Description: For $18 round-trip ($9 for children), you can take the 600-passenger Island Queen from Falmouth Harbor to Martha’s Vineyard from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day. The trip is a leisurely 35 minutes each way, and food service is available on board, along with a full bar. The passenger-only vessel makes seven trips each day in summer, and reservations are not needed. The Island Queen is also available for charters. This ferry service does not take credit cards.
