Description: This colonial tavern still bears scars from British cannon fire (it’s in what is now the men’s room, if you’re interested). Such reverence to history hasn’t kept the Nimrod from staying with the times, however. It offers live music, mainly jazz, nightly. It also serves solid lunches, dinners, and a $12.95 brunch that includes a Bloody Mary or mimosa. As for the name? We’re told the Nimrod was a fearless warrior of the biblical era.
