Description: More than 80 classic cars are on display here, including a Stanley Steamer, a Stutz Bearcat, and a 1908 Baker Electric Car once owned by John D. Rockefeller. (Check out the 1940 Bombardier snowmobile.) And strangely the museum isn’t just about wheels—there is collection of nickelodeons and toys as well. Of course, the cars are why you come to this warehouse on Route 1, and you can even get a ride in a vintage car. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.

Description: The town of Wells’s original meeting place serves as the home of the historical society’s collection of nautical and local memorabilia and a trove of genealogical information about area families. Open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday by appointment from mid-May through mid-October.
