Here’s where the urban sophisticate drops by after work or couples end the night over a pinot and a cheese platter that’s as pretty as the room. When the second location opened in the One Nineteen shopping center, suburbanites joined the fan club. JP’s features wine flights, refreshing mojitos, and concoctions that marry wine with alcohol. But don’t worry about wine snobs; here they call sweet red wine Stickies, and smooth whites are Like Butta. On the Missouri side you can join the wine club, which allows you to store your wine (or liquor bottles, for that matter) and get invited to exclusive events. JP’s opens at 6 a.m. with coffee drinks, then lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with salads, sandwiches, and soups, like a luscious acorn butternut squash number. Small plates and cheese platters (along with terrific desserts) are available from 4 to 11 p.m. Hang up your cup or glass at 1:30 a.m. Not open on Sun.
