Description: SLUMA is housed in a four-story, historic French Revival mansion on the Saint Louis University campus. The museum exhibits items relevant to the Jesuit philosophy and ideals by local, national, and internationally acclaimed artists, including Joachim Probst, Miguel Martinez, Thomas Huck, Edward Boccia, and Renato Laffranchi, as well as the work of Saint Louis University artists. Additional displays include the Marion Cartier Collection and the John and Ann MacLennan Gallery of Asian Art. A museum shop, tours, and volunteer opportunities are available. Description: The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra is a world-renowned ensemble that performs a broad musical repertoire and offers a number of live performances geared to younger audiences. There are Kinder Konzerts, performances that incorporate instruction and music for kids in kindergarten to grade three; Young People’s Concerts, which are targeted at children in grades four through six; and a Young Adults Concert Series, a program for older students that is part of the symphony’s community partnership program. Description: Located on the campus of the University of Missouri–St. Louis (USMSL), “The Touhill” hosts an amazing variety of performances, ranging from lecture series and operas to comics and contemporary concerts. There are two separate theaters housed within the facility, the 300-seat Desmond and Mary Lee Theater and the 1,600-seat Anheuser-Busch Hall. Both spaces have an intimate feel and state-of-the-art audiovisual components.
