The center includes 16 new birthing suites, 35 postpartum suites, and 14 high-risk antepartum suites. There also is a Level III neonatal intensive care nursery for critically ill or premature newborns. Other services include lactation consultants, osteoporosis programs, and general education programs on women’s health topics.Presbyterian Hemby Children’s Hospital, which opened in 1993, is dedicated to family-centered care and meeting all the needs of children from the time they are admitted to the time they go home. Full-time pediatric physicians provide additional care in the pediatric intensive care unit.The hospital also offers a full range of in-home services, including adult home care, hospice, and the Lifeline personal emergency response system.
