Charlotte’s popularity as a business and travel destination is evident in the steady increase in hotel rooms constructed in the area. From budget motels to luxury hotels, Charlotte offers its overnight guests numerous choices.
If you are a first-time visitor, keep in mind that during special events, race weeks, football weekends, and large conventions, the availability of rooms in certain areas may be limited or nonexistent. So plan ahead and make your reservations as soon as you know when you’ll be visiting the Queen City.
Since bed-and-breakfasts are in demand, they have been given their own chapter (see Bed-and-Breakfast Inns). If you intend to stay more than a week, you may enjoy residing at an extended-stay facility (see our Relocation chapter).

Accommodations - Bed-And-Breakfast Inns
Charlotte, although known as a destination for business travel, has a surprising amount of bed-and-breakfast inns. These lodging options provide a much different experience than the standard hotel/motel setup. Visitors who choose our B&Bs encounter a more genteel atmosphere that’s slower in pace, harkening back to simpler times when Charlotte was just a mid-sized Southern burg.
Two of the most popular—the Duke Mansion and Morehead Inn—are conveniently located just outside of Uptown, with three more nice options available slightly further outside the urban core.
Folks wishing to escape the bustle of the city can find an array of B&Bs in permiter towns like Davidson, Mount Holly, Huntersville, Matthews and Rock Hill.
Each place has its own charm and character.

The hotel offers 191 rooms and 2 suites on 11 floors. Ask for a room overlooking the city, rather than the busy I-277 freeway. Full-service amenities include a 24-hour business center, 24-hour on-site fitness center, outdoor pool, free high-speed Internet access, and bell service.

Description: Part of the EpiCentre entertainment complex, this modern European-style loft hotel has made a big splash in Uptown. There is nothing quite like this colorful, art deco–inspired facility in the center city. Headboards are part of a large center console in the middle of the room. Guests enjoy 9-foot ceilings and extra-large windows. Each room is equipped with a recharging station for personal electronic devices and a 42-inch LCD flat screen TV. Spa products come standard in each room, as do free wired and wireless high-speed Internet access. This hotel has a total of 175 guest rooms and an indoor pool.

6. Charlotte Marriott At Executive Park
