Description: This Robert Trent Jones Jr.–designed course built in 1969 has large greens, large tee boxes, large bunkers, and lots of water. Most visitors know the course because of its signature hole—the 15th, a 230-yard par 3, which features a tee box 360 feet above Lake Stanley, requiring a tee shot to an island green. This is probably the most talked-about and most photographed hole in the Reno/Tahoe area. Access to the green is by a footbridge. During winter you are only allowed to walk on this course. The course is located in a prestigious neighborhood and sports a country-club atmosphere with upscale homes lining the fairways. It’s closed for several months during winter. Reservations for a group of 20 or more may be made a year in advance. Tee times can be scheduled online. Lake Ridge has been voted the No. 1 course in the Reno/Sparks area for many years.
