Description: The Lakes Course at Red Hawk Golf Club offers magnificent views of the Truckee Meadows and the surrounding mountains. Robert Trent Jones designed this course around the marshlands and lakes of an old hunting club, so water comes into play on several holes. The fairways are so plush that you almost hate taking a divot, and the bent-grass greens are extremely well manicured and fast. The course is lengthy with wide-open fairways, but beware when the wind kicks up. This is one of the examples of the scenic backdrop being so magnificent that you really don’t mind playing a lousy game of golf. The golf carts are equipped with state-of-the-art measuring devices. Red Hawk features a Golf Learning Center, a program designed to teach every part of the game for every level of play. Red Hawk also has the Hills Course, a private layout designed by Hale Irwin.
