Description: PJ’s is located kitty-corner from the Rapscallion restaurant (see subsequent entry under “Seafood”) and next door to Corrigan’s Irish pub (see the Nightlife chapter). PJ’s, a regular mainstay, is casual, homey, and a favorite local hangout, especially on Friday night. Breakfast is served weekdays from 7:00 a.m. and weekends from 8:00 a.m. Locals keep coming back for the eggs Benedict and veggie omelets. PJ’s features gigantic burgers and homemade fries for lunch and specializes in Tex-Mex cooking for some of its dinner items, but the pork back ribs keep most diners happy. PJ’s has an outside area for dining and a full bar that offers eight different beers on tap. It also has three TVs, which are always tuned to some sports channel. The restaurant and bar are only separated by a wooden railing, so it can get noisy, especially on Friday night after work.
