Description: Begun in 1991, this one-day event’s mission is to share and appreciate the cultures of Adams County through music, food, and art. In 2008 you could be entertained by Mexican dancers, bagpipers, folk music, an Irish band, a trio of three women playing 12 instruments, and more. All this music and dance is the perfect backdrop for enjoying the ethnic foods available and for attending the craft demonstrations. Admission is free.

Description: Antiques and Gettysburg go hand in hand, and this show lets you enjoy America of old and crisp fall weather at the same time. More than 150 antiques dealers set up tables around Lincoln Square to display their wares, which include china, games, tinware, and myriad other items. There’s also a spring antiques show held in May (see separate entry within this chapter), so you can admire antiques and enjoy the spring weather.

Description: This show features more than 300 tables containing accoutrements, guns, swords, uniforms, documents, books, photographs, personal effects, and relics of American military history from 1865 and earlier. Serious collectors attend to buy, sell, and trade their treasures, while others come to admire the military memorabilia that’s on display. Admission was $6 in 2008.
