Description: Suter’s has been making furniture for Virginia homeowners since 1839. At the factory in Harrisonburg, they create beds, tables, chairs, and chests in classic 17th- and 18th-century styles—Chippendale, Queen Anne, Hepplewhite, and Sheraton—using the finest cherry, mahogany, and walnut. Description: This fine artisan’s shop offers high-quality, handcrafted jewelry, hand-spun pewter, and a variety of beautiful keepsakes in silver, made on the premises since 1982. Each year since 1985 they have designed a new angel ornament for the Christmas tree; recently they started a second line of Christmas keepsakes, introducing pewter Santa ornaments. But the top reason people shop here is the array of bracelets—bangle, cuff, charm—made by local silversmiths. Pewter cups, plates, and bowls are made in-house, too. Hand- and machine-engraving are offered.
