Description: The Moore Hotel is a landmark of downtown Seattle, built in 1907 and located near Belltown, 2 blocks from Pike Place Market. The original architecture includes restored marble, tiles, and decorative molding. The Moore isn’t fancy, but it’s home to the famous Moore Theater and offers an incredible history, as well as one of the best deals in downtown hotels. The 120 rooms each have a queen bed, private bathroom, cable TV, and a phone. The building is completely nonsmoking and promotes itself as a green hotel—including one major energy-conserving feature of a complete lack of air conditioning. This is rarely a problem in Seattle, but if you are booking for July or Aug, it is something to be aware of.
